Carol Johansen Fries

Three careers maybe you could call it four.
Started with interior design, then farming running a hog farrowing operation and raising registered black angus. I went back to school evenings and weekends and became a Minnesota tax auditor starting part time in 1973 and full time as a sales tax field auditor in 1984. I retired in June 2007 and by the fall was ready to go back to work. I was offered a job as a tax refund consultant which meant I went from the "bad guy" to the "good guy". So I am working all over the state giving tax money back to corporations and loving it!
I have also raised five wonderful children and now have ten grandchildren and 4 1/2 great children. We are very close to all of them.
My husband and I will be celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this year. He was a printing salesman for years and he retired to farming again but on a smaller scale.
I have been very lucky with having a happy, healthy family and wonderful husband.
