Here is Richard Lindahl's article from Star trib (not the obit) talking about many traffic deaths found in the June 15, 1964 Star Tribune:
"Nine Killed in Traffic on Weekend
Minnesota's traffic death rate continued at a record pace over the weekend with nine more fatalities six of them on Sunday.
The 1964 toll climbed to 326, or 30 more than during the same period last year when a new high was set.
A 21-year-old man was among the latest victims, Richard K. Lindahl, 4019 - 25th Av S. died at Hennepin County General Hospital of injuries suffered Saturday when his motorcycle struck the rear of a car on Minnehaha Av near 35th St. He was to have graduated Saturday from the University of Minnesota."
The memorial folder said he was born in Mpls Oct. 18, 1942; passed away June 14, 1964 at the age of 21 years 7 months 26 days.
