Yvonne R. 'Vona' Mathisen
Mathisen, Yvonne R. "Vona" Age 77; affectionately known as "Lala" to her grandkids, passed away on October 23rd. She was very active in the Elk River Alano and sponsored many members. She joins in Heaven her parents, Magnus and Helen Nelson; sisters, Joyce and Marilyn; and beloved son, Michael. She will be deeply missed by her children, James Dalsin, Amy (Ray) Rauch; Angie Dalsin, Rachael (Bryan) Jones, Mary Dalsin; grandchildren, Nicholas, Matthew, Madison, Abigail, Madilyn, Chancellor, Clayton, Marlie, Ella, Ellis, Lydia; sister, Marjorie (Terrance); and many close friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will be on Tues. October 29; at the Lakewood Memorial Chapel, 3600 Hennepin Ave Minneapolis, at 2:00pm with a visitation beginning at 1:30pm. She was a BFF that I missed seeing at any ot the class reunions. We went way back to Junior High and used to tell people that we were brother and sister. Way back when, she would sometimes meet me on my paper route.............now that goes way back. God, I am sorry I didn't keep in touch Yvonne. Rest in peace to a very special lady.
