This is a hard one for me.  I grew up with Virg.  It was because of him that I went out for swimming in my senior year. During the summers of 1952 -1959, we would go over to the big beach, (lake Nokomis) and we played tag off the big dock. Virg could never catch me and because of this, I tried for the team.

It was then I found out that he and I swam different events.  We set a record for the Medly relay, Virg was the Breaststroke guy and I was the Freestyle guy.

After Highschool we would run into each other from time to time and reminis. I have not seen him since the 50th class reunion, but from time to time I think of the good times. There is a pictue above my desk at home of Virg, Carl Wagner, Steve Revoir and myself the brings back great times and memories.

Virgil and I used to work at a Girl Scouts Camp.  I enjoyed working with him.  It's too bad we did not keep in contact.
