Richard L. Frederick
Frederick, Richard L. Age 75, of Brooklyn Park passed away unexpectedly in his home on October 12, 2017 from complications of Diabetes. Richard was an artist, writer, teacher, mentor, friend, life partner, and devoted family member. He was an inspiration in how he lived with his blindness. He felt that because of it he learned to see beyond the outer shell of people. He had a huge capacity to love. Preceded in death by mother, Jeanette Frederick and her twin sister, Agnes Erickson. He will be missed by the love of his life, Lynn Neumeister; sister, Judy Carrington (Larry); nephew, Gary (Lillian)Carrington; step-daughter, Laura (Justin) Karst; granddaughters, Infinity, Spheria, and Ayla. A celebration of Richard's life will be held November 4th at 2:30 P.M. at Eastside Neighborhood Services, 1700 2nd St. N.E. Minneapolis, MN. Memorials to National Library for the Blind & Physically Handicapped.

Richard will be remembered by all that knew him. He was kind and treated everyone with respect. I remember Dick, because he was my high school sweetheart. Our dates were fun, and I will always remember them.May you rest in Peace. Always, Patricia Phillips Latta.

So sorry to hear of Dick's passing. A great guy, good friend and fantastic artist. Dick and I were neighborhood friends attending Northrop elementary, Folwell and of course Roosevelt high school. We shared several interests, tennis, target archery, bow hunting, and sports cars. I've always felt a bit guilty as we drifted apart after his divorce. Fond memories of all the great time we spent together. One of the highlights was bow hunting for a black bear in northern Wisconsin, I think we were both a little relieved when we didn't have a close encounter. See you down the road Fred, thanks for all the good times.

Dick (Fred) was a good friend of mine in high school, we had many ventures together. He was a good friend of my husband Gary Olson (Ole) since childhood. Dick was in our wedding and was the sponsor for our oldest son, Mike's baptism. Dick visited Gary and I in Arizona during our son's high school football game (1980). During the game Dick told us he could not see the plays due to his eye sight. Dick had diabetes and was loosing his eye sight. We were friends and always cared greatly about Dick. He was part of our family and we will miss hearing from him. Thank you Lynn for being so good to Dick. It was always Fred and Ole. Now they are both gone. RIP dear friend. Kathy Olson
