John Ellefson

Ellefson, John Age 77, of Burnsville, passed away on Monday December 16. Preceded in death by parents Loring and Clara. Survived by sister Karen Gordon; ex-wife Amy; children Chris (Michelle), Ben, Sonja (Matt), and Sebastian (Sarah); 3 nieces; and 9 grandchildren. John graduated from Roosevelt High School (60), the U of M (64), and U of M Law School (67). He served in the Peace Corps, clerked for the Minnesota Supreme Court, and was a Workers' Comp Judge for over 20 years. Equally important jobs included bridge partner, road trip driver, homework tutor, personal wrestling instructor, and gymnastics cheerleader. John will be remembered by all for his gentle nature, good humor, and unflappable optimism. Memorial event starting 2pm, words spoken at 3pm, on Feb. 15, 2020 at Wirth Chalet in Minneapolis.
